The original Divine Mercy Image, painted by Eugene Kazimierowski in Vilnius under the direct supervision of St. Faustina and Fr. Michael Sopocko. It was completed in 1934, and first shown for public veneration in 1935 at the Church of Our Lady, Gate of the New Dawn, where the Ostra Bramska Image, also known as Our Lady of Mercy, resides.

St. Faustina was apparently very disappointed with Kazimierowski’s work during the painting of the image, because it was not capturing the beauty of Jesus as Faustina had seen him. Jesus appeared to St. Faustina again, and told her to settle for this image with these words:

The image fell into disrepair from storage during the second World War, and the following decades when public veneration of the Divine Mercy was forbidden. The image was restored back to it’s original beauty in 2003 by an artist of Vilnius and this restoration is what is available here.

A stunning portrait of our beloved, and recently beatified, Pope John Paul II. Artist Patricia Henderson rendered an incredibly realistic image showing all of the Holy Father’s joy and charm. No, this is not a photograph!
Just six years after his death, Pope John Paul II was declared Blessed by Pope Benedict XVI, on May 1, 2011. This was the Sunday after Easter, the day which Jesus told St. Faustina should be dedicated to His Divine Mercy, and which Pope John Paul II had declared Divine Mercy Sunday.

Having grown up in Poland, entered clandestine seminary during World War II, and served as Archbishop of Krakow during the Cold War, Karol Wojtyla (John Paul II’s given name) was no stranger to the Divine Mercy Image, nor the life of St Faustina. As a response to the call of Christ, through St Faustina, for total trust in His mercy, John Paul II began his pontificate with the rousing homily which would become his trademark: “Brothers and Sisters, DO NOT BE AFRAID…”

We believe this image captures that peaceful assurance and calm which stemmed from his trust in the unfathomable mercy of Jesus!

In 2004, I recon­nected with my very dis­tant past, find­ing the Church my fore­fa­thers built in 1850. A year later we were invited to the 150th anniver­sary of the ded­i­ca­tion of the Church, and my wife and I hand-​​delivered a 5’ framed Image to the parish (see pic­ture inset).. They promptly hung the Image above the altar.

Please allow 1–2 weeks for unframed Images, and 2–3 weeks for framed Images. We usually ship either DHL Ground or US Postal Service.

Damage: If there is damage to the package, please take some photos of the box and Image and hold onto the box so the shipping company can inspect the damage. We will send you a new Image as soon as possible. You’re help in this matter is very much appreciated. Damage is rare (only 5 packages in 4 years).

One of the basic themes found in the Diary of St. Faustina is the call by Jesus for us to contemplate His Passion. Our Lord promises great graces to those who devoutly meditate on the suffering He endured in His last hours (737). St. Faustina was asked by Jesus to make the Stations of the Cross everyday at 3:00 when her duties allowed.

We encourage you to take time to ponder the suffering and death of Christ. Our prayer is that this video production will take you deeper into the realization of God’s great love and mercy and that you will be moved to help those around you deepen their relationship with Christ.
